Supermax Blades - Opinions?

I have a couple of packs of these that I'm slowly going through.

These are the only DE blades I've ever used. I originally bought them for DIY purposes, so didn't pay any attention to quality..

Are these ok blades, or can I expect much better?

Six Weeks in SuperMax

It seems there's a Blue+ Incoming! You have to hand it to the marketing team at Supermax. All they had to do was add the word 'plus' to an existing product to generate new sales. Saying that, I'd have been satisfied with a different colour...

I use a vintage Gillette with an open comb. I shave most days and have stubble on the fine side.

My personal opinion ... I like 'em, too.

Very honest, no frills Stainless which will shave with consistent quality for 3 shaves.

Anyone else notice the distinct packaging similarity to Wizamet Super Iridium?

What would be a step up from these?

I use a vintage Gillette with an open comb. I shave most days and have stubble on the fine side.

Sticking with SuperMax you can go in a couple of directions - if you like sharper and smoother, there's the Blue Diamond Platinum (or Diamond Edge, being I think the same blade); just smoother for a multi-pass shave (say, 3+ passes) the SuperMax or Zorrik Titanium ("Feel the Power ..." on the packs) provide a VERY comfortable experience, but do need multiple passes.

Similar, in that it's a simple no-frills, good, honest shave ... the Wilkinson Sword or Silver Star Super Stainless; smoother still, Lord Classic or the Personna Comfort Coated. Smoother still, Rapira VOSKHOD.

In my opinion ...

... but nowt wrong with those blue pack Vidyut/SuperMax Super Stainless.

Both the Supermax Blue Diamond Titanium and Platinum are regulars in my rotation, with the Platinum edging it IMHO.

I got a few things from India yesterday.
Including, these three blades. Of which (for me) the novelty is Diamond Edge.

Here in detail.

Excellent result.
After almost ten hours, still pretty much BBS.
Although, to my taste, they’re too clingy.
So the three past canons left a slight discomfort.
Not immediately, and not worth mentioning. But as the day goes on I feel it.
Nothing a good consumable doesn’t keep under control.
In fact today even the soap is new and no pre / post treatment.
Just to see what’s new.

In summary, the best of the group: a better diamond.

Yesterday too, a little too clingy for my taste.
Today I decided to mitigate this feature.
A light passage on cork.
That’s all it took.
