Anyone ever gone back to cartridge for a day or two?

I had a little Mach3 shave today and pretty much enjoyed it. LOL [emoji12]

I bought a Mach3 at the weekend for an experiment ... it works but I don't like the three blades. I prefer the Gillette II as it is also a fixed head. I feel too much pressure is needed (in my case anyway) to get it swivelling.

I was giving a gillette guard & spare cartridges heads as a christmas present from my sister, i use it for travel & visiting family and friends purposes, a excellent razor, for a single blade cartridge it delivers a wonderful close shave..nothing wrong with using it from time to time..i don't consider it to be a mortal sin to revert back to cartridges..each to there own..i still prefer using my DE razors though.;)

I keep hearing from people that they really like the simple Gillette Guard, I think I'm going to have to try it one of these days

I really like the Guard as well, but it is not nearly as good as my DE's and the life-span of a cart is quite low.

Contrary to "the rest of the internet" who believes it's just as good or better than DE and lasts many many more shaves. Just not on my mug apparently.

Have a vintage Gillette Contour I haven't taken for a spin yet and I have a new Mach3 only because it was cheap and came with a holder - haven't used it either.

Still use a Aldi cart 5 blade for my head, but other than that I've not been tempted to go back. I either make time to shave or I don't shave. But once the refills for the cart have been used I buy cheap disposables for a "hair cut", I don't use anything but water on top and shave without a mirror in the shower.

Im going to be honest....

I was in a rush this morning and pulled out the mach3. I was showered and shaved in 10min. Smooth as a babies.....
As much as i love DE shaving, i have to say i have spent 100 times more money on razors, creams, soaps ect than i ever spend on mach3 carts in my whole life.
However, both work for me and i love both. But for time and money.....carts win hands down.
