Hot water & argan oil.
Niazi 1908 5/8.
P&B Spitfire - face lathered.
Body Shop synth.
Warm/alum/cold.
Fine Snakebite.
Argan oil.
Aramis Devin EDC.

Bit of a tidy-up around the neck and cheeks while my stubble grows out. Was experimenting with angle a bit to find that optimum. A very flat angle seems to suit me better but doesn't seem to get as close a shave as it perhaps should. Still, no irritation, no nicks, no cuts. Body Shop synth is decent but I'd like something softer and more 'splay-able', I think. Will consider buying a new brush next month. Alum bit a bit, Fine bit a lot! :D Settled down into a nice, brisk feeling which I followed up with a couple of drops of Argan oil. Oil absorbed almost immediately so I think my skin is keen to have it on board.

Tl, dr; Decent shave. Argan, great. Snakebite, cold. Happy hump day!

Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Muhle XL Synthetic
Soap: Vitos Extra Super
Aftershave: Astral Cream (soft)
EDT: L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme Intense

The Brit. Ever Ready 1912 is the 1912 model I like the least; for me they just do not seem to cut as well as the USA models.

I have tried over the years to work out exactly why but in truth I do not know, it is obviously a little bit of difference in the head geometry but nothing I have ever been able to measure.

A shame as they are here in the UK, by far the most readily available 1912 and thus the cheapest.

Regards
Dick.

Excellent display of fine gear. The razor looks new.

Every so often a shave turns spectacular. Today was one of them. The lovely scented lather from the OSP, coupled with a slight menthol hit, slicker than the slickest slick. An easy, smooth, efficient 3pass from the razor. Ending with a refreshing chill from the menthol splash.
Well happy.

Nacets are another blade which work well in flat base plate early Gillette TTO razors such as the Aristocrat Junior and the #16. Sapone Di Paolo is a good performing vege soap. Lathers like a dream, although the post shave could be a little more moisturising. Pulito is a fresh blend of olive, musk and citrus.
