Lather: Mike's Bay Rum
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil​

A good shave from the 45 & 74 although I had to work at getting my BBS , still a great lightweight razor to take on a trip though.
The soap lathered into one of the most creamy consistancys I have ever seen....outstanding. Finnished off with a liberal spray of Molecule 01.... Fantastic .

After using an ER 1914 yesterday went modern with the General. Whilst the Shave was smooth enough, was rather surprised that apart from on the upper lip the overall quality of all round finish was not better than that attained with the 1914. Perhaps the blade is tailing off ? Maybe a good idea to vary between Vintage /Modern razors, to get a better evaluation of the merits of the
individual razors.

The bowl, found in a local charity shop is the perfect size for the puck of Lea classic.
I really like shaving with either of my ½ DE Rocnels. Initially because I admire the ingenious head design. Like its OC cousin, a heavy razor which needs a light touch and a bit of concentration. Especially with the sharp Voskhod. Lovely smooth result, Open Comb up next.

I have the aluminum version of the General and I love it - should I buy the brass one as well ? Is it better ?
 
Afternoon gentlemen,
This is actually yesterday's sotd, but wasn't able to post, took my incredibly beautiful niece who is over visiting from the states and my equally beautiful wife out to lunch up near Bristol.
Shave again had to be guaranteed straightforward and quick as it was at six in the morning.
So went for old faithful, the r89, and the equally awesome Stirling soap.
Great shave, great weather, very agreeable company. :)

Dolce & Gabbana "the one" deodorant,
Atkinson's triple extract edc.
