If we measure ourselves by the standards of others than we shall always be found wanting.
That's why I've always hung around with men and women of quite excessively low standards ... makes me look so much better than I really am.

I hung this poster in my bar in Phnom Penh. Some of my young staff were convinced I was Bryan Ferry and a good buddy Andy Mackay. Not really a bad thing.

My buddy is the spitting image of Mackay but yeah the Ferry resemblance escapes me.We do really all look the same to them then ?

I think your just a jealous guy............My buddy is the spitting image of Mackay but yeah the Ferry resemblance escapes me.
I have just read that he is touring Europe at the moment & with Chris Spedding on guitar.
I saw Roxy Music at several different times from the promotion of For Your Pleasure until the launch of Country Life at Newcastle City Hall; every show was magnificent.
Suddenly last year my son (now also an ardent fan) bought tickets for El Ferrari at Burleigh House, that too was excellent. He has aged, obviously, but he is still in a very good state of repair ... and his voice remains good. In addition the unbelievable talent who is Lucy Wilkins was on stage in the band that night too.
Sadly the splendid Chris Spedding was missing, grrr.
This great man (BF) has virtually written the soundtrack to my life.
(As a taster, for the uninitiated, check out either Simple Twist of Fate by BF or Both Ends Burning by Roxy at the London Apollo in 2001 on YouTube,)
UOTE="factormax, post: 659882, member: 57"]I can only echo your own sentiments. I last saw him with Roxy at the Camden Palace (now the Koko Club) in 2005. Close enough to see the stitching on his cuffs. That was good enough for me, and I think it will be hard to beat.
You mention Lucy Wilkins. Jorja Chalmers is a treat as well. She appears in this line up.....
Time spent well is so rare.
