Show us your boars!

The only piggy I have at the moment is the Omega Pro49 :)

This brush was recommended to me when I first started DE shaving.
It is now beautifully broken in and whips up a lather in seconds.
I find it great for bowl and face lathering and it is a fantastic brush to use when starting out.
Very forgiving and cheap as chips :)[/QUOTE
My boar collection (only small) started with a O49! Try the Semouge 2000, you will love it :)

Think you are getting there. Good start.

Wow! Holy cow! Holy shit! Holy moly!

Winsor & Newton water colours has 7 colors of green. Not nearly enough to describe my envy.

How's the Jaguar 2003?

Family photo from Left to Right
Vulfix 404 Grosvenor - Mixed badger and bristle knot, superb handle.
Omega Pro 48 - First boar brush and not really used it. Don't like the chrome handle
Semogue 830 - Lovely face lathering brush
Omega 10015 - Cheap and cheerful, great little brush
Omega 40033 - Great little travel brush, most recent boar brush.
Omega 50068 - Bambino brush, very good for face lathering.
Omega 11126 - Love the handle on this one, perfect for use with Cella.
Omega 20102 - Same knot as the one next to it, had to remove the sticker, ruined the aesthetic
Omega 10098 - My favourite boar brush, possibly my favourite brush.
Omega 11047 - Mixed Midget. Mixed boar and badger, unfortunately it is a shedder but I have a replacement on its way to me.
Just put the Omega 10098 on the list. Thanks.

How's the Jaguar 2003?

The Jaguar 2003 is really huge and produces tons of lather in seconds.
Got less backbone and therefore performs best with shaving creams and soft soaps. :)
That brush is just fun but I would not buy it anymore. I like my Omegas most and much
more than my Semogues.

Maybe it is time for visiting some group meetings ... Hi, my name is Floid_Maniac and I am an addict ... Hi Floid_Maniac ... :D
I like your style, bulk buying while there's a deal on, it's not like they are going to go out of fashion, I like the two on the right :)

I love the look of the painted handle Semogues but have read they suffer with the paint flaking off, any truth to that? I'm sorely tempted to grab a 1305.

I've read that as well, had my 1305 since beginning of April, used about two/three times a week and no sign of degradation of the finish yet.

Have to admit it's got three 'bubbles' in the paint on the bottom so I take care to dry it properly and not put it on the base while it's wet and so far it's been holding up fine.

Apparently putting a clear coat on yourself helps conserve the finish as well.

I'd say go for it, awesome looking and performing brush, especially when it starts to break in after a week or two!

Not really. My 1305 has some chipped paint but that's only because I've dropped it once or twice. The paintwork on these brushes is fine.
You won't regret getting one.

Wow, the layer of paint is actually quite thick. I don't mind if it comes off due to my own carelessness but I had read reports of it just flaking away in a matter of months with normal use... If thats internet nonsense I'll order one up, for the price even if it lasts just 12 months I wouldn't be too sore.
Look after it, ie don't drop it and the paint isn't going anywhere. :)
