Another great shave. The CB is a performer.

Christmas Eve shave

Soap - Haslinger Hönig
Brush - Semogue 1470
Face lather
Razor - Ever Ready Streamline
Blade - Gem SS
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
After shave - Alt-Innsbruck

A belter of a shave with my prized Streamline. The Hönig, as always, provides that perfect balance of cushion, glide and slickness; and a great post-shave feel aided and abetted by the cool menthol burn of Alt-Innsbruck.

Close finish today; probably close enough to get away with a shave tomorrow. I thought I'd be unable to dedicate time for my ritual on the big day; and to rush is folly.

A safe and peaceful Yuletide to all of you and yours.

Schick G8 Injector
Schick Proline B-20 (2)
Stirling Soaps Christmas Eve
Alum Block, BBA Post Shave Balm & Al Rehab Sultan

A festive shave for today, you can tell you're really using quality tools when they are in use, the lather with Stirling and a Shavemac badger are like faultless, only a single hair lost today. Just a quick 2 pass shave today, only a tidy up needed, close enough but not completely BBS all over.

Everything is all done now, what has been forgotten and missed be done without for a day at least. Pork in the oven for some family tradition Roast Pork Rolls this evening when my folks come back from evening service. The highlight of my Christmas each year, the yummy pork. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, hope you're all on the good list.

Blade: Schick Injector #2
Razor: Schick Injector
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: Alvarez Gomez Barberia shaving cream
Post: Izzey Myake aftershave Balm
EDT: Izzey Myake L'eau D'Issey

This razor performs amazingly. A really well weighted and nimble mini mowing machine. Ideal for all those awkward places.
Avoiding my chunk of chin I removed from yesterdays shave, I had a sublime 3 pass irritation free BBS shave. I am going to buy some prolines to trial in this razor although I am extremely pleased with the Schick.

This is my 3rd use of the stirling and have been reading reports that some peoples brushes are shedding.
I would say I lost 3 hairs approx. per shave. I am not concerned about this at the moment and am sure it will hopefully settle down. It has plenty of backbone and the tips are softening nicely.
Flow through is not there yet as far as I am concerned as I put a considerable dollop of cream (more than usual) in the brush and it was only satisfactory for 2 full passes. I squeezed the brush to lather for my 3rd pass.

The cream is awesome stuff. A really thick consistency with a lovely scent and plenty of slick n slide.

Finished with balm and the glorious scented Izzey Myake.

Enjoy your shaves and Happy Christmas to one and all. :)

Christmas Eve Shave

RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
Cyril Salter Solid Soap
Schick N3
Schick Twin Japan ( 14 )
Lea A/S balm

Decided on a fuss free Shave today, so went for an Injector. Sometimes you feel Shaving with an Injector is just too easy ( E2 and others not included) rather like falling of a log. Chose today the N3 my favourite Razor that uses a Twin blade, though I have not tried the "O" Clone yet.

Despite the blade being on its 14th outing, the Shave was so smooth and comfortable.Hard to believe that such a simple setup can deliver such a great Shave, but the Razor/Blade combo aided by the under rated Soap never lets me down. If all you need is a Shave then Injectors are a good choice, but then one would miss the challenge of other Shaving methods. Thanks to Dick @Norfolkdick for introducing me to Injectors.

Have an interesting Choice for Tommorows Shave, due after prepping the Turkey, which with two of us a bit under the weather looks rather large, but will make the Boxing Day buffet look pretty good.
