21st March

Evening Gents. I had a fairly acceptable shave this evening. Maybe I've been spoiled by the high-end creams I've been using lately but the Barbon just didn't seem to offer the same protection and glide. This was the fifth shave on the Vector cart and it was noticeably rougher and more tuggy so in future it will be four shaves and done. Not a big deal when I can pick them up on eBay for around 50 cents each. Finished up with the neck feeling a little hot but that was quickly calmed down by a generous dollop of the wonderful Myrsol Emulsion. Time for a quick sandwich and then off to work for me!

Gillette Contour/Plisson/Barbon/Myrsol Emulsion
I think that is a great shaving cream, I always get very good shaves with Barbon

Merkur Futur
Personna Red (2)
Razorock Plissoft Bruce
Nanny's Silly Soap - Lemon and Vetyver
Woodhead scuttle
Boots Bay Rum AS.

I mentioned somewhere else, but find a Nanny's soap you like the scent of and be impressed! This stuff truly is face kevlar and lathers like a cat in a soapy bath!
I've been meaning to try out my NSS Sandalwood! It smells lovely and I've only heard good things about Sharon's soaps!

Brush: Custom finest 2-band.
Shaving soap: Jabones by Luna "Higo y Vainilla" (sample).
Razor: Maggard Slant / custom aluminum handle.
Blade: Racer Super Class Platinum (3).
After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

It is said that the Maggard slant is very aggressive - my experience is mild and very effective.
The shaving soap smells fantastic - a scent typical for autumn/winter, it is on my wish-list
for coming fall.

Smooth ...

Have a nice day, everybody ! :)
