Wednesday

Proraso M&E pre-shave
Valobra stick
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Face lather
Feather Artist Club SS
Feather Professional
Alum block
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Pitralon Classic after shave

A lovely leisurely shave this morning with the AC. As I suspected, the Valobra tallow provides the perfect cushion, protection and glide from the Feather blade.

One small nick on the corner of the upper lip; but you wouldn't tell after the alum, witch hazel and after shave. All elements combined perfectly. Bliss. Chin-strokingly smooth.

Blade: Gem #2
Razor: Gem MMOC
Soap: P & B Spitfire
Brush: Annbus Boar
Post: BBA ASB
EDT: L'Occitane cade

I love the MMOC. Slightly more aggressive than the Clog Pruf but equally as smooth and efficient.
2 passes and job done.

Soap and brush combo worked in harmony. The brush still needs breaking in further but works as it should.

Finished with the balm and a generous helping of Cade.

Enjoy your shaves! :)

Didn't have time for anything too fancy today so you'll have to make do with Bridget Bardot on a 1959 Riva ;)

First time using this soap and aftershave gel, graciously piffed to me by a member on the other forum.
The soaps a pretty good performer and I like the scent, kind of like a mild TCP/liniment sort of thing.
I was expecting much the same from the gel but was surprised by a nice cooling menthol hit.
A very enjoyable shaving experience. :)
Happy Shaving one and all!

Georgetown Pottery G12 scuttle (Hamada & Persimmon)
Rooney Polo 1 Ivory Finest (25/54) (new brush)
Roger & Gallet l'Homme shaving soap (vintage)
RazoRock Mamba
Polsilver Super Iridium (3)
Roger & Gallet l'Homme aftershave (vintage)

Another typical Rooney Finest, with perfect backbone and soft tips. The Polo has always been one of my favorite styles, and this one fits my hand better than the slightly larger Size 2.

Evening shave.

BBA Face Wash
Body Shop Macca Root Cream
Semogue 1305
Little Wren Pottery
Tatara Masamune OC (pass around)
Gillette Nacet (1)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Myrsol Blue Aftershave

It's been a busy couple of weeks work wise and, unusually for me these days, socially. But I always make sure that I find time for a leisurely restorative shave. And this was exactly that. Very nice.

MWF
badger brush
Fatip Piccolo
Astra sp
TOBS sandalwood aftershave
Good shave apart from when the head of razor unscrewed. I must have a light touch as i only felt the blade on my skin, no cuts or rash.
I'm hooked on TOBS aftershave ( keep pulling t shirt over nose, amazing smell )but scent does not last long enough. Gonna have to get a bottle of sandalwood cologne

Wednesday's shave :)

Pre-shave - Shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by warm water splash and Murdock Pre Shave Oil.
Soap - Wickham Soap Co. 1912 Club Cola Shaving.
Brush - Omega (011829) Boar.
Bowl - Little Wren Pottery.
Razor - Blackland Sabre-Gem L2.
Blade - GEM PTFE (day 4).
Post - Cold water splash, Myrsol After Shave Balsamic Water , followed by Ibiza-Aloe Aloe Vera Gel.

Fifth shave with the Sabre-GEM L2. A 2 pass WTG and XTG, face and WTG and XTG, neck.

Very good shave, very pleased, 2 passes on the neck with no redness or weepers - feels like I am getting there with the L2.

First use of the Wickam Club Cola Soap and the Myrsol After Shave Balsamic Water - both highly recommended from Iain at the Gentleman's Groom Room. Very pleased with both, amazing scents - loved the feel of the Myrsol Balsamic Water on my face, great way to finish off the shave.

For me, I think that the L2 needs the face to be highly lubricated, with water, to avoid post shave tightness - either that or the Gem is progressivly getting more forgiving after day 4?

The way my skin and stubble feel at the moment, I may only need a 1 pass shave with the L2, tomorrow.

All the best,

Chris
