Correct!

The exfoliating bar is not (as I imagined it would be) sticky or tacky or rubberised. It is hard textured plastic.

The best could be the Penny Shaver which has a single blade cartridge and no skin stretching bar and no lubricating strip from AP Shave Co and said by Sharpologist to be Fusion compatible and a Fusion killer. I doubted that because I thought why would anyone buy the blades if they also had to buy a Fusion unless they already have one? But a quick visit to apshave confirmed they do supply a handle. So I've ordered a set. Total price by Paypal including flat rate post from Canada to U.K. 32.94 CAD which worked out to £19.98 in real money plus VAT when it arrives. It's a handle with one cartridge and 4 refills. That's about twice and a bit more than a Gillette Guard on eBay UK posted from Indonesia. I'll be sure to post a review.
