Before the brushes and bells I also studied the radio and telephone industries and collected examples of many types of radio and telephones. I've sold most of those collections but kept a few favourites.
This is known as a Type 16 telephone made for the GPO in the 1890s by L M Ericsson. Known as The Skeleton, also as The Eiffel Tower telephone. It is wired to receive calls - a delightful ring it is too!
