Should be plenty of R1 about as Gillette were making a good range of razors in 1971. I understand the rarity of Q1 razors as a production error, but TBH they don't seem THAT rare...

There's a few adds for "super rare" but they seem to appear often enough.

On the balance of probabilities the RR *should* be the one closest to my actual birthday (early Feb) but Ive not seen one for sale yet. They only seem to appear on forums when people ask the question "why does it say RR on my black Beauty?"
 
Badger & Blade, Shavewiki, safety razor database, Gillette dating information - not much there for 1984: DE = black handle super speed, black handle super adjustable; cartridge = Contour - you won't get a date code for this. The super adjustable (Black Beauty) is, in my book, a top razor.

cool do you know what the code would be? found one on ebay from 1980 2nd quarter which i think was D something i can not find it now but it was in the states!
