Brush and Bowl by Beejay

I have a couple of old Lignum bowling woods stored away somewhere - along with the rest of the workshop and my lathe. I have an itch to get my workshop set up to produce a few nice shaving items, but I don't think it's going to happen for a while yet...

Interestingly, Lignum vitae was also used for the bearings of propeller shafts in ships - it is very hard and the natural oil content made it waterproof and self-lubricating. I also have a couple of Lignum vitae plectrums (sorry, plectra) for my mandolin.
