Calling all you razor collectors

What's doin Paul,

Holy crap! Looks like those various razor monkeys have pretty much had their way with you these last 8-9 months or so. I know a bunch of other members have lots of stuff and your pleasant little collection kinda surprised me. Nice eclectic selection you got there.

Martin

Yeah, the Aristo ape was especially compelling from the looks of things.

Hi Martin

Yes, various primates have come and gone but I'd describe the Aristocrat ape as a Silverback gorilla who is currently kicking seven shades of excrement out of my wallet.

Still, I don't regret one purchase!

Cheers

Paul

I know what both of you are talking about. Due to my retirement my Silverback is in lockdown - fully agreed upon with my wife until we "settle down" with the adjustment. Quite a spendy last 4 years with all the kit. But if there is a deal I'll bite.

I do have quite a few aristos, diplomats and a few presidents, cased, uncased and mis-cased - in various need of repair. But there are some beauties in there as well.
I'll post a few pictures when I get a few chores done.

I like the idea of getting pictures of razors like the Personna Adjustable on this thread. Didn't know they made one. Great idea for a show and tell on razors. I'll participate. Regards, Rob

I'm down to my Chatsworth, 38C, and Gillette Slim Twist plus these two more interesting oldies. A 1918 Single Ring and a Shavex - the latter is in regular use, close shave but relatively mild. Don't see many around. Must have been as cheap as chips.

Really enjoying viewing all this razor porn !
Now, come on guys, surely someone has a nice pic of an open comb Hoffritz along with its case.

JohnnyO. \

Excellent response chaps, however I do notice no one has laid their full collection out in one photo. I am thinking this is because a) its too big to fit in one photograph or b) They don't want to get it all out in one place incase the Mrs walks in :D Own up chaps which option is it?

:icon_lol: Both
A) To fit in one picture, I'd have to stand that far back no one would be able to tell what was what.
B) SWMBO would have to be out of the country before I'd risk it:angel:

One of the few SE that I've been able to find has been this 1900 STAR. Case and Razor are in very good condition for being 112 yrs young.
Photos( I hope ):

Been looking forward to this. Guessing you have another house to live in? Couple if razors I've never seen before - what looks like a gold superspeed (originak plating?) and a gillette case red ring (not the eclipse, just has a red ring)

Excellent and very well laid out as Paul just said. Well done Steve (and I know well how hard you've been trying all these few years in order to get some of these beauties shown there!)
