Campari Spritz - The 'official' drink of Venice!

Saw this being drunk by everyone, young and old, in every bar in Venice, Northern Italy, and finally succumbed!

1 part Campari, 1 part sparkling Proseco, soda water, slice of orange or lemon, with/without a green olive, ice!

Sold at between e2 and e2.5! Hic!

I watched 'The Tourist' the other night, I am guessing thats what they were drinking. How did it taste?

It tasted like spiced vermouth with soda water. There really wasn't anything that fancy that I drank back then. Red wine was less than 5 cents a glass. Had a lot of that. You really couldn't drink the tap water. There were days when they actually had live things swimming in it.
As they say "if you remember the '60's you didn't live them".
