Can This Travel Brush Be Easily Reknotted?

The base of the new knot is so shallow, it only goes in to the ferrel part way and fits perfectly.
The one that came out of the white brush had a thick steel washer to fill the gap, the newer style one had a bolt on the bottom.
Yes, has a bolt/screw in the bottom.
New knot ordered, thanks for info!

I forgot about this thread as the brush is tucked away in a drawer. Thanks for posting your experience P911 :)

Ideally I would like a synthetic knot like in the L'Occitane, Stirling etc. Has anyone seen any of these in 18mm anywhere or do I have to stick to badger etc.

I would love the synthetic knot in the L'Occitance Plisson brush as well. Hope someone can give us a link.
The budget silver tip is very nice though.

Silvertip knot arrived today.
Doesn't quite fit so I'll need to scrape out the inside of the hole at some point.
I'd heard that new badger knots smelt, but I wasn't expecting THAT!!!

After washing the knot several times the honk of badger has now dissipated.
Scraped the hole out a bit more this morning and glued knot in place.
Here's my 'new' travel brush!

Boom, that's how you do it!

I just need to find a suitable sized synthetic and I can follow in your footsteps.

Top job :)
