Colonial Razors announce GEM razor for 2018

Did either of you try the Sabre with L2 (0.9mm gap) base plate? Any better than L1?

The L1 is smooth but could not get close enough. The L2 is perfect for me still smooth and more efficient. BBS!

I love the Sabre L1 - smooth, efficient. That said I would be curious to try the L2.

If the Sabre upgrade is as good as the Supply-SE upgrade then it must be close to perfect. It's a shame the Sabre did become with a multiple head option,like the Supply -SE.

I love generals but never tried any GEM razor, wondering how it'll do - btw Colonial is planning to get DE onto the market as well right?

Yeah, the DE will be out before the Gem unfortunately.

I see that Colonial razors have announced a price increase for the General SS, now retailing at $99.

Fair play to Kirk and Stan, they have set out the reasons for the price increase, which revolve around growing their business - expanding into high quality grooming product lines and bringing new razors into market more quickly.

At $99 I think the General SS still offers great value for money, and I can't wait to see what Kirk and Stan produce next.
