I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all members for a fantastic forum.

I m a member in many forums (not only in shaving related ones) but have to admit this one is the best by far.

No argues, no trolling no baiting in any way and quality posts.

I m glad i found it and honored to be a part of it.

Keep it up gents.

Cheers!

I've been a member for just over a year now and my knowledge has grown, but not just in the shaving department, but in lots of other things :) :)

You can see how long I've been here and how much I've posted (some of it even relevant and interesting). I tend not to bother with any other forums as I hate all the trolling and cliques. I only tend to read other forums as a non-member when I need specific information or advice, which isn't always reliable.
There were briefly some threads here which can attract a bit of controversy but they're usually easy to spot and ignore and the mods are great at closing them down. You can say you like or don't like something without getting banned.

I don't like Body Shop Maca Root shaving cream.

This is a forum for chaps who like a decent shave.

They seem to be the sort of bloke who is generally informed and interesting.

The sense of humour is male and British, there's no macho posturing or gay cruising (imagine a "men's forum" - it would either be porn / football / beer etc or else meet-me-in-the-sauna-steve, either way a cliche that reduces us to stereotypes).

Nope, TSR is the best place on the net.

Getting chucked off Badger & Blade was the best thing that could have happened (veterans of CONUK, I salute you!) - no guns and swagger here, more likely to find threads about sheds and avoiding advisory notes on your MOT.

Blokes and banter, what more could you want?

There are many good honest and trust worthy people on this forum, but as a long time member of the Straight razor place I would also say that's another forum that's full of honest trust worthy and equally honest folk who are more than willing to go the extra yard to help you out.

Congrats to you also for joining this place and even posting! Not meaning to enable you in any way, as a reward I sent off that Black Beauty yesterday. Yep, give it maybe 10 days or so.

The usual Customs declared value amount on the package is $300. Is that too low do you think?

Also there's the 'explosives' tag, to insure the package getting to you fast. No one wants to have that thing laying around the Post Office.

Phew...glad I ducked that one Martin, didn't you know our Royal Post Office is being privatised so no one gives a fcuk.

See now, I was totally unaware of what's going on with the Royal Mail. I did a little searching and came up with plenty of info. Oh man, you guys have politicians like we do here in Chicagguh and in the federal government as well.

Golly, there's more than one side to the story about who benefits by this deal. I will include a couple links that seem to contradict each other!!! I know........isn't that just crazy? Almost like one group is lying...almost. Johnus and GD, you should read what the Limey's wanna do to the mail. It ain't pretty.

The mayor of Chicago was elected maybe a year and a half ago.....he was helping his friend the President in Washington before that. He's a Jewish guy with a reputation for being very tough to deal with on occasion. Right now one of his big pushes is to privatise the public schools. It's interesting to see who benefits from that.

Anyway, I feel a little badly, knowing some of the guys who run your government.
