I've got a pair of MIE 1460's i bought last year for work. I decided to pay the extra over the normal imported DM's.

They are well made, comfortable, but I'm not sure how long the soles will last as the tread isn't very deep.

Got some DMs a couple of weeks ago. I have been wearing Solovairs but decided to give DMs a try and there was some rubbing on my left heel for the first few days but now they are excellent so far. The insoles seem to fit me perfectly as I find that I need support in the middle of my foot and these provide it.

Here are mine.

The two on the left are DMs. The three on the right are Solovair. Modern DMs are crap compared with vintage ones so I'll be sticking to Solovair from now on.

They sure have, used through the last two winters and still got a bit of life left in them. Nicest boots I've had for years.

I do like my shoes and trainers but DM's have never appealed to me.

When everyone else wanted them at School I hated them as I thought they were fugly and I've never changed that opinion since.

No doubt about their quality and lasting appeal though.
