Feather AS-D1 - for bumfluff only?

You might want to try my old favorite. The Gillette '04 WWI years. It's an extremely smooth shave. Would keep me clean and spruce for the whole day with only 2 passes.

I'm with Martin with trying a feather blade it that jap razor... There is some thing pleasant using a so called mild razor with a super sharp blade.

Feather AS-D1 and Ikon OSS, both way too mild for me.

If you like doing 7 passes then go for it.

As Duke wrote, I find it shave like a Tech.

For me it's all about finding the right angle. Once you have that it's a very nice shaver.

Despite that I still sold mine. Far too expensive a razor for a job that a 5-10 pound Tech does equally well. Design, engineering and finish aspects aside.

Now, if they put the Feather Portable head on the AS-D1 (in the same material, obviously) they would have a very nice razor.

As Duke wrote, I find it shave like a Tech.

I cannot shave with a Tech, far too mild for me.

I can have a great shave with a Feather AS D1.

Different things work for different people.
