Festival shaving / minimalist shaving!

matt31 - I don't think so. I hummed and hawed, thinking sunny Glastonbury/ muddy Glastonbury. sunny Glastonbury/ muddy Glastonbury. So passed up my chance of a free ticket. HWMOM will be there, and if the skies don't open, no doubt I'll regret my decision.
How times change....back in the day, I was working on the gate for a ticket one year, picking litter another (I definitely don't recommend that - especially with no gloves provided  ). Then there was the year I was sneaked in, had to hide rolled up in a ball on a hot sunny day on the floor of the car in front of the passenger's feet all the time we were queueing to get in. I did think I was going to die there for a while.
So nowadays it's easier to get a passport than a ticket to Glastonbury; but it's a very different experience now to back then. Sharon,

I didnt realise getting tickets was that difficult. I know you have to register with a photo etc to be able to apply for tickets. I work the bar for the workers beer company (I dont get paid but I 'work' for my union who get £6.50 per hour that I'm on shift) shifts are only 6/7 hours a day and we get our own campsite with real toilets that actually flush with real water and SHOWERS

Its all for a good cause!

When I travel, I take 1 razor, 1 travel shaving brush, shave stick and aftershave and moisturiser. For a festival, with possibly no decent facilities, I think (big gulp) I'd either not shave, or maybe (bigger gulp) take a Mach 3. When I traveled for 2 months end of last year, I substituted the shave stick with a small pot of shave cream. Lovely

Maybe getting tickets has gotten easier again? I know when I was there last year for the first time in several, the site seems to have massively expanded, so maybe there are more tickets available.

I know the beer tent well.....only use it occasionally when there, I'm not a big beer fan, and even less when it's in plastic 'glasses'. Although nowadays when I go I am on a stall, we aren't in the workers special camp with all mod cons. Actually , we're in the Green Field where mod cons are positively frowned upon. :D Still, it sounds like you should be safe to shave.

If I had to strip it back I would take a Sensor or disposable razor, soap stick and wee scott and some A/S. I always feel taking razor blades to any public place, is asking for more than desired scrutiny if pulled for a random search.

should do the trick..!

Cheers,
Tim.

honestly... if I was traveling, especially to festivals... either no shaving or electric... I would not be up for trying to enjoy a shave in a tent/small bathroom.

FWIW

Gillette Bleue II disposable, palmolive (cream or stick), Vulfix 404 mix and a bottle of some cheap as cheaps, high alcohol, as splash....... superdrug or boots own brand probably.

Either that or I'd just go without and have a full on luxury shave when I got home.
