Had my first shave using a synthetic this evening.

I used MWF and face lathered. The first surprise was how much cooler it felt compared to using my usual brushes (a Vulfix bodger and one of Fidos silvertips).
Next was the lather, which seemed quite thin to start with, then suddenly exploded into piles of creamy goodness. Enough for 3 passes of a FatBoy, plus a whole lot of rinsing to remove the excess.
All in all it is definitely a keeper. The wonderful lather which eventually was produced and the amount of firmness in the backbone coupled with the softness of the tips made sure of that.
