Funky Weishi

Apparently we in the West are only privy to a few of their models and colors. Perusing the Weishi website I found some very cool aluminum and far out plastic examples.

I would be all over the gold matte "noble metals" one if it was a more aggressive razor. It's heavier and more solid than the garden variety Weishi. Maybe I just have a soft spot for 80s-looking electric blue aluminum stuff too. Reminds me of some of my old BMX gear. If I ever find myself in the Middle Kingdom I shall pick something up (at a good price of course!)

I did not know I needed a new razor, but now I really want a multicoloured Weishi.

Those are the Dogs b#@@ocks. Can any of the vendors who post here look into stocking them.

The metallic blue would match my Maglite and Swiss Army knife :shave

i had a Gunmetal one from Paul and as HM say's they're a mild shaver, i also found that the sweet spot for blade angle was very narrow.

well made and probably the nearest thing to a new SS

From what I understood, and it seems to be so from this site, is that although they have only one design, the materials (and prices) differ between their lines. So there are light cheapo ones, plastic, aluminum, and the nickel plated copper alloy ones, which are quite heavy.

According to Fendrihan
http://www.fendrihan.com/weishi-gold-plated-matte-finish-doubleedge-razor-p-716.html

Weight: 2.3 oz (68 g)
Length: 3 3/4" (10 cm)

That is pretty hefty.

I have been looking at the Weishi razors because i would like to get a TTo at some stage I had a look at the prices of the full range on taobao which is like a chinese version of amazon and there top of the range models are being sold for about £4.50 so now I'm very interested the only catch is I will have to get a chineses speaking friend to help me with the site.
