I love the fact that no character is necessarily safe. Apart from Sean Bean the walking spoiler, you never know who's going to be the next victim.

Well, he made it to the end of Legends series 2
Crikey! I thought the only thing he'd survived was Sharpe.
absolutely loved Pete Postlethwaite's Obadiah Hakeswill - mad as box of frogs!Ah Sharpe, proper boys own stuff. Been getting through all the novels the last couple of years. I feel so inferior next to that big hunk of man!

I love Sharpe, I have the books and the DVD box set that both get revisited from time to time. Pete Postlethwaite was a fantastic actor and outstanding as Hakeswill.
TBH I think that may have ruined it, there is a certain element of charm about the older production techniques. Sharpe was one of my favourite programs of that era, and continues to be to this day.I got the blueray DVD collection for Christmas so been working my way through them. Been enjoying them throughly though I do wonder how good they could have been with a bigger budget and the advancement in CGI these days.

Brian Cox was a great actor in the series, with Daragh O'Malley being one of my favourite actors in the whole thing (Pat). There were some big names in there too, think Liz Hurley, Daniel Craig among others.
