Gillette 'Guard'

Came accross these the other day so ordered one off Ebay:

It cost me 99p plus a bit of P&P and is a disposable, although i believe you can get a proper one that takes the 'guard' carts.

It would seem these have been produced primarily for the indian market, but i bought it to try on my head as i find all others just clog up quickly and make heed shaving a bit of a nightmare.

All i can say is they are fantastic on my heed! They're not mega close, but never clog and make really light work of my head.

If anyone is a head shaver, i would highly recommend them.

I've had one in a watch list for a while, thinking just as hunnymonster suggested, that it might make a good travel razor for walk on trips. Having just bought a 10 pack of Bic Sensitives and a 5 pack of Bic Metals, I think I'm good for now ... although it is intriguing.

Did the razor stay together? I did read that the head can detach with minimal pressure.

What do you call a bunch of Gillette geniuses?

"… to India and beyon d'oh!"

it is gillettes way of getting 500 million indians from DE to cartridges

softly softly catch a monkey

TOTAL BOLLOCKS IN THAT ARTICLE

But Gillette wanted more of the market. To do that, P&G executives would have to attract the nearly 500 million Indians who use double-edged razors, an old fashioned T-shaped razor that has no protective piece of plastic that goes between the blade and the skin when shaving. This razor, which makes skin cuts more likely, costs just a few pennies per blade.
