Thanks for the warm welcome lads.
I'm a chemist, but if you say that then people instanly ask what shop you work in, and whether you can get them any methadone or cheap Tabac. I'm not a pharmacist, I work in a lab for a fairly large, but low-profile chemical company. I'm mostly interested in analytical and organic chemistry, but I've been known to dabble in inorganic. Physical chemistry makes my brain itch however.
I'm trying to work towards my face feeling like 400 grit sandpaper, normally it's closer to 80. I have to say your description of football actually makes it sound quite interesting. If only there were more explosions...
Ah, the elegant South Side, or lower Merchant City as the estate agents have started calling it.
I'm not from the Gorbals, but I've lived there for nearly 10 years. I was born in a small post-industrial wasteland called Coatbridge. You may be aware of it.
Hopefully I've not missed anyone out.
Thanks again,
Stephen

What flavour of scientist are you? If you don't mind me asking.

Welcome to the forum Stephen. It seems that you've learned one of the most important lessons already, knowing your limitations. I'm also a member on a couple of the other forums, mentioning them is allowed (bad mouthing other forums is bad form however). As good as the 'others' are I like the slight UK/EU bias of TSR, it's more useful when planning my next strategic "forgetting to mention with intent" purchase. I also don't follow the fitba (twenty two millionaires ruining a lawn to quote Charlie Booker).
