Has anybody ever tried an ice cold razor?

I used to do cold shaves, and now I mix it up - warm water to help whip up the lather a bit faster, warm razor for the shave (seems to glide on soap a little better), lukewarm face rinse followed by a cold one.
I might give cold shaves another go, haven't done one in a while. Who know, I might switch back.

The vast majority of both my face & head shaves are with cold water. I personally find they are tonic for my skin and give close comfortable results. However, as always what works for me, may not work for others....YMMV

I've heard the theory about cold water shaving reducing inflammation and have no desire to challenge it. But I'm just a wuss and prefer it hot. I'll have a cold shave as and when the immersion heater packs up. I get all the glide I need from my shave soaps and/or glycerine soap prewash.
