Thanks I just had a look - great! although I couldn't find a review of the merkur, I dont know why...probably will look again in the weekend.

ps. Small nicks are easily stopped with a dab of talcum powder and then left for 5 or 10 minutes....

Can't wait for a nice :shave it will probably arrive monday....I went with the merkur - only because that's what was on offer and well, I am quite keen to get started...Also, I bought a sample pack of blades incl.Shark and Astra - which again seem to be getting the best reviews.
