How to date a Gillette Super Speed Red Tip

Gents,

I recently aquired a Superspeed Red Tip of the bay, however Im having truoble putting a date to it. Like my other gillettes this doesnt have the usual letter followed by a number used to date mark it.

The only markings at the bottom of the head are 'Made In England' and also next to the post is 'III'

Can anyone shed any light on this and help me out!?

Hi Chris

British Super Speeds weren't dated in the same way as the US ones.

You've made a good purchase in getting a British Red Tip btw; they're a far better razor than the US counterpart IMHO.

Firstly thank you very much!

Ill take your word that is better than the American counterpart! I used it the other day and it's brilliant!

Secondly thanks for passing on the link - I've only flicked to the part I needed for this razor but I can see me having a good read through that tonight, lots to take in!
