Impromptu Lesson in Italics (ish)

My daughter got a stunning parent's evening report this time round so I asked her what she would like as a little present.

"A proper fountain pen with black ink, please"

She's 7 so I thought a Lamy Safari with a nice 1.5 straight chisel tip would be a good first "proper pen".

As soon as it was presented to her she wanted to have a go -

My alphabet hasn't improved with neglect and I haven't used a nib that size for many years but I think she did really well.

This is a sound basis for good writing skills............ What better than such a young person, asking for a FP this practice hopefully will stay with her for many many years.

Considering her age and her first attempt at an FP it is great start, must make you very proud & congratulations too your daughter.
