Just got my Fatboy back from being replated

It looks as good as new if not better. I thoroughly recommend his service!

I had a couple of razors replated by Dave recently. I had a Slim done in nickel and a #15 Aristocrat in rhodium. He did a top job.

I think we need to see pictures of your replate though, just so we can have a gawp.

Thank you, yes it does- the photos don't do it justice- it's mirror bright.

I'll have to wear sunglasses when I use it tomorrow!

It's actually very hard taking a photo of a razor and doing it justice. They always look worse in photos than they do in real life for some reason.

True - must be all that reflective material and curved edges.

The replate looks very nice and makes you not want to use it!

I've been intending to do exactly the same (i.e. Fatboy replate with Dave) for a few weeks, but haven't had the time to sort out the delivery. This thread is putting the pressure on!

I picked up from Dave this week ,

2 x U.S.A. Gillette Aristocrat's

! x Gillette Tech

1 x Gillette Flair Tip Superspeed

1 x Gillette 1940's Superspeed

and 1 x Gillette New

All plated in bright shiny nickel , even the razor blade case .
The head on the New I had done in Rhodium to go with my new Godzilla handle courtesy of Rafael .
All the work I am happy to report was up to Dave's usual high standard's .
