Lavender cream options?

Lavanda Ach. Brito should be a top choice.
Castle Forbes as well (the way it conditions your skin is phenomenal).
AoS lathers very well but I've never tried the lavender.
Creightons stuff is clearly a level below (in my subjective opinion).

The Shave Butler (Gil) should have some Lavanda left.

If anyone who has used Castle Forbes has also tried something else that matches it for scent and lathering please shout - I'll buy some!

Sounds great. I have a tub that I traded with Helveticum. It smells great and I did a small test lather but haven't actually used it yet. In an OCD fashion I am finishing off another cream before I can move on to something else. :-/ Really looking forward to it.

BTW the test lather was with a tiny amount from inside the lid that burst in to creamy lather. I shall have to be careful not to use too much and waste it.

Ian's right, Taylors lavender is the Daddy. Really good performance, lovely lavender scent, slightly garish purple colour, but no matter. Good price too compared to T+H... T+H lavender is really nice but it's no better than TOBS and it's far, far more expensive.

TOBS tubes are crap however, the lid WILL snap off if you close it too tightly. I squeeze all of mine into a little tupperware pot.

ive always found the TOBS tubs to have a better quality product in them too.. not sure how, but the tubes always seem more watery, thinner mixture than the tubs.

Did the maker cease trading?

I get mine from here:

They have a website but not an online store. They have a contact number in this section of their site which I might try for my next order.

I know its hugely subjective but, could any here who use or have used both the Castle Forbes and AoS creams put some words down with regards to the below.

How do these Castle Forbes creams compare to the AoS performance wise.(not price or quantity related).

If tried, how do their respective balms perform in relation to the matching creams.

Only ask as both have stayed below my radar due to the limited scents available, Sandalwood doesn't ring my bells, i have to be careful with regards to lavender scented creams or soaps and lemon or lime as a singular note doesn't get me either.

Cheers in advance.

Update on the samples:

TandH - 70p a sample pot and £3 delivery (I got some no 10 as well).
ToOBS - No reply.
Trumpers - complimentary sample pack on it's way.
Vulfix - no sample pots but Mark the MD assured me their product is excellent :icon_lol:
DR Harris - £2 a sample with £3 delivery (I decided not to bother because of cost)

FYI Connaught do sample pots of this for £3 or two for £4.90. You could always order these in conjunction with something else to 'save' postage.

Not mentioned before (as far as I could see), but you should also check out the eShave Lavender cream.
The shave creams of eShave are really good creams. They give a good lather, smooth shave and smells nice.
