London Visit

I would recommend The Rake, which is also in Borough Market, Winchester Walk I think. I don't think the Jerusalem Tavern in Farringdon is open at weekends.
Ah yes annoyingly I think its closed weekends from memory, they used to offer St Peters grapefruit beer which is incredible, although you develop a lisp after 3 pints.

Thanks for all your advice guys,

Weekend over and I managed to get myself into a few of the watering holes mentioned, a running tally of hostelries visited can be found below:-

Horniman at Hays

The Anchor Tap (Sam Smiths House)

The Railway Bell (Crystal Palace)

The Postal Order (Crystal Palace)

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese (Fleet Street)

Ye Olde White Horse (St Clements Lane)

The Harp (Chandos Place)

Porter House (Covent Garden)

Craft Beer Co (High Holborn)

The Rake (Borough Market)

The Anchor (Southwark)

The Rose (Albert Embankment)

The Betjeman (St Pancras Station)

A wet weekend in more ways than one, visiting pubs far more interesting than the Lord mayors parade. A little disappointed about the firework display though
