Merkur Blades

I got my Merkur razor delivered yesterday and it came with a free Merkur Super blade. I notice these blades are quite expensive compared to others so had high expectations. I loaded it in the shaver last night, started to shave and.....awful! Dragged and pulled so much in the first 2 stokes WTG that I took it out, swopped for an Astra and... ahhh that's better, lovely first shave with my new Merkur.

Well, including a Merkur blade with a perfectly good razor shows the German sense of humor at it's most diabolical. Yeah, a new shaver tries the combo and maybe has second thoughts after a week or so.

Still have a Merkur 'freebie' blade yet to try. In Merkur's defence, they could hardly include a.n.other brand considering they have their own brand but the majority do tend to think the blades leave something to be desired...

I foolishly bought one of their 'mustache razors'. Nice idea but the razor only takes their blades which were 'substandard' at best.
Use an injector now, works great.
