Merle Haggard RIP

American country singer dies on his 79th birthday. My dad's always been a big country & western fan so I was brought up on it. Best known for the theme to The Dukes Of Hazzard, Good Old Boys. RIP Merle.

I didn't know he'd snuffed it. It's a great loss. I lived in Texas for 10 years and developed an appreciation for c&w music; at first it was self defence, but it grew into a genuine liking.
