New razor advice please

All I am considering my next razor and and looking for some opinions, my short-list is currently:
Merkur slant
Muhle R89
Parker 89R (or 98R)

If it helps my current favourite razor is the Merkur 38C matched with a Gillette
Superthin, nice and smooth.

I don't have a dense beard so not sure if the slant will be too much, plus it is best part of £40. I love the look of the Muhle but I am concerned that it could be on the mild side, then there is the Parker, I know they have a bad reputation but I find myself wanting to try one and at around £20 it keeps calling me.

Quite a difference in the razors you're considering. I'd suggest a slant, not the bloodthirsty vampires they can be reputed to be and a model you just know you're going to want to try at some point anyway. They seem to be in short supply at the moment, however should you manage to get one and it doesn't suit you can almost certainly sell it on at near the price you pay for it.
Enjoy getting to know whatever piece of kit you decide on.
