NFB just ordered.

Just bought a NFB Super Badger two Band from Peter.

I've had a look round and these get great reviews, so I'm looking forward to getting it as it'll be my first decent brush as my first one was a £10 Man-U (or something) from boots and I also have a £3.50 Wilkinson Sword which will be binned as soon as Peters arrives.

Anyone got a NFB super badger and can throw me some tips about using and caring for? My other brushes were used and then left as I wasn't interested In them at all but the new one is getting well looked after.

Any advice is most welcome.

My best tip on using your new brush would be - enjoy it!

My first decent brush was also a New Forest super two band (tortoiseshell), and using it was a revelation after my previous brushes. It's still in regular use, although acquiring it gave me a taste for quality badgers, so it's competing with several other brushes in my rotation now

There's some good advice about caring for your brush on this thread

Don't bin the Wilki brush. They are absolutely great with hard soap to bowl lathering - my favourite, in fact, for the job. Good kit.

As in everything it's horses for courses...

Thanks for the tips lads.

I will keep the Wilkinson brush then for when I start hard soap lathering as using Ingram cream at the moment until I get some samples from Maguires Barbershop :)
