Have a few fountain pens now, all low end.
Pilot 78g med nib: writes first time every time, wet writer, very light, no soul though.
Parker 45 flighter med nib: writes well, small sweet spot, nice feedback although slightly scratchy.
Lamy Nexx med nib: writes well....was just boring...
...until i popped a 1.1 nib into it, the change is really dramatic, my writing has character and the feedback is just right. Subtle line variation, fine italic, a terrific buy.
Normally buy from Cultpens but seeing i was only purchasing one nib i went for the cheapest which was from Europens e bay site. Excellent service.
For a few quid the Lamy nib was a sound investment, i will probably buy other Lamy pens which i would not of done before trying the 1.1 nib.
