No Swirling Allowed (According to Simpsons)

I have been swirling my brushes for over 35 years. I swirl when loading them and when facelathering. Usually I might finish with some painting strokes, but that's it.

I still haven't damaged an effing brush....

Actually I often use a horrid blue plastic rectangular soap dish that has ridges in the bottom for the soap to sit on. It produces a superb later with a back and forward stroke

I've got a lovely hand made skuttle as well which does keep the brush nice and warm but the horrid plastic produces a better lather!!!

I use an old tin pencil case to create that perfect up and down lather.

if no swirling is allowed, why so many soap companies telling us to swirl the brush around on our puck of soap to create lather?

is it some industry scam to make us kill our brushes out fast.... and in a way that we cant get replacements for shoddy brushes?
