Well, I've had quite a few nice shaves with this lovely razor now and if anybody wants to have a go, please let @TommyP know and I'll get it sent on (no unnecessary trip to the Post Office would be involved, I work for Royal Mail and am still working so I can drop it into the system easily).
It really is a good razor, incredibly well made and still in great condition. Going back to my iKon today, after a few weeks of shaving with the Fatboy, I was a little bit nervous...
If no one wants it, I'd be happy to send it back to you @TommyP, or just as (more than...) happy to hang on to it and put it into my rotation until someone fancies a go...
Yes, mate. PM on the way. Interested to hear your comparisons with the ones you've got.Hi, I would appreciate the opportunity to try the fatboy out when this pass around gets back up and running. I have a slim and a black beauty but have been put off the fatboy by the prices they were selling for.

Received, and Fatboy is being Sterilised as I type...
Thanks @Boycie83 . However, I am not confident I can effect the repair given my track record of fixing things, especially as this is not my own razor. Is anyone skilled / confident enough to do this?
I was promoted off my tools shortly after my apprenticeship to help protect the company from my cack-handed attempts at maintenance and repair so it's probably best if I don't go near it either. I can provide you with am excellent PowerPoint presentation on how it should be undertaken thoughThanks @Boycie83 .
