Yes, I can appreciate that. It's just that the direct upload procedure is much slicker on this platform.

I still like photobucket because all the huge image files don't eat the hosting diskspace the forum is using

I wondered about that, can you turn pasting off or set them to delete after a couple of months?

I always struggle posting photos. Has it changed with the new software? I tried uploading direct from mt desktop but it was too large an image....so are we back to photobucket then?

If I remember correctly 1MB is limit, sou it depends what you want to post.

Apologies in advace for being thick. I've admitted my condition before but that's just how it is

Not sure what you mean...if I want to post a photo, then how do I describe it?...it's a photo..... one I will have taken with my camera or phone which I've transferred to the computer and put into My Pictures or on to the dektop. But when I try to upload direct (which I gather I can now do) it's too big. I used to use photobucket and resized it there and then on to a post or PM....but I assumed "upload direct" meant just that. But if I have to resize it then I don't know how or where to do it other than in photobucket.

There is great and easy to use program for PC and notebook for resizing pictures I'm using it too

OK...ta for that. I'll look and see what I can absorb. Meantime I'll try again. I MIGHT have resized the ecnlosed image...not entirely sure :-(
