Any Pocket Watch experts out there ?

I was given this by my late mother in
law. But I've never been able to find out anything about it. I've also tried looking at the hallmarks for a date, but that just seemed a big confusing.

Maker is Jones, 438 Strand, London. Obviously silver and a weight to it too.

I have one or two Pocket watches, but I am no expert. Does it keep good time? By the looks it is a key wound watch, do you have the key?

There are a couple of people on the net that will service/repair it for you but it is not cheap.

I have a nice large Waltham which I use regularly, it keeps great time.

If it keeps time well. Just polish and enjoy it.

There are a few watch forums where you may get advice, and help. I wear Jackets and Waistcoats regularly, so get the use of the pocket watch.

A nice Silver chain (if you don'5 have one) which has graduated links (small at either end, bigger in the middle) with a T-Bar, fob and dog clip will set it off nicely.

Be careful buying from the bay, they are often shortened, made up of various old chains or don't have the individual links, clips and t-Bar stamped....

It keeps reasonable time, only about 1-2 day spring. It could do with a service and the button near the fob ring falls out. I never really use it, it stays in the safe.
