First shave with my new Slim, received today from a fellow member. Started with 5 on the dial, quickly changed to 7 and stuck with that. Also a second go on the Supermax blades which I only discovered a few days back. Very nice shave. Great razor.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch Simpsons best
1958 Executive/Feather
RL Safari SS
Myrsol Emulsion
RL 'Safari' EdT (old juice)

Not quite sure about the Myrsol. It's not unpleasant when it goes on....just different than what I'm used to feeling after the shave. It's a mild sort of a warm/cool thing going on. Heh, is that a menthol/alcohol combo? Might be. It does take a little while to rub in thoroughly, but no problem.

The Executive called to me and it was perfectly dialed in (one number less than usual) for the Feather blade taming. Great to have the adjustable option. Also, this soap/EdT combo is excellent!

BBS results,

Martin
