Welcome back! Missed your photos on SOTD. Hope you had a good holiday.

Gillette Aristocrat 15

Sigh, that was a razor I really tried to like but no dice.

I still reckon the #22/66 set would be right up your street, Martin. Possibly the #16 if the right one came along - although I think I recall that you've had a go on that. Both are better looking than the #15/21 and noticeably milder too!

Yep, I think you're right about the #22. I have heard that mild description before and it's one of just a few more razors I'd like to try. Heh, I will make a purchase if I ever see one in the wild.

That #16 was one I knew would be missed, but it wasn't used enough to justify keeping. Nice looking and handling razor though and something I would like in decent condition if the price was right. Only one I ever paid full retail for.

Needed some balm after the shave in addition to the Alt-Innsbruck. Not sure if it was as a result of the multiple passes I used with the Feather Artist Club or the sunscreen...

Sunday afternoon...

Hot water splash..
Taylors of old bond street, sandalwood shave cream...
Taylors of old bond street, pure badger brush...
Boker, extra hollow 4/8 straight...
M & S Woodspice aftershave..

Three passes, nice clean shave but I just don't seem to enjoy the narrow blade as there is no weight to it..
