Enjoying what I think is a luxury shave over the last few days, using my biggest softest brushes, best looking razors and best smelling soaps.
The only thing that spoils the shave is the idiot using it all :icon_cheesygrin:

Thick & creamy tallow goodness! This vintage 40's Yardley soap is something else.
 
Had a rather unusual, for me, shave this morning as I ventured into the world of straight razor shaving.

Shaving with PB seems to get better, perhaps with more time outdoors my skin is in better condition than during winter months.
 
Cheap and Easy Tuesday​
Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - sensitive
Soap: Proraso green
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: Omega boar 10005
Razor: Gem Junior Bar + templ8 50mm handle
Blade: Gem (4)
After: Proraso AS, Proraso ASB

Cheap: Proraso soap 75ml version €1.20 from an Italian minimart, Omega brush for a few dollars in a Canadian supermarket, Gem razor included as a freebie when buying another razor on eBay (didn't know how lucky this was at the time). Proraso AS punches way above its price point.

Easy: Easy to lather soap, fuss-free boar, simplest razor load-and-lock blade, easy to clean razor access-all-areas with a toothbrush.

Today is Tuesday:

Result: Fabulous

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

This blade only fits me in a couple razors and when it does it's magical! Probably the 3rd-4th shave and still very smooth with zero whisker resistance. No feeling of anything sharp on my face and the heavy UFO handle adds an extra dimension of pleasure. Whew doggies, it don't get no better.



Being careful with the Xpec, seing as how this older version is extinct. Stuff is addictive is a good way.
