Sliced my adams apple. SWMBO'S fault, she distracted me with a black pudding question I was completely unprepared for.

First Week of SE shaving DAY 5

Cream Ingrams Menthol
Brush Pure Bristle unknown, had it since 70`s
Razor ER 1912
Blade Gem[ 5 ]
Post Warm/cold rinse, Alum rub [ wash off ]
Nivea Balm, Then La Toja lotion.
Really pleased to feel so comfortable after a Shave.

Going to continue SE shaving, providing good mirror/light available in bathroom.
Some hotels recently have been really bad, so most likely will be DE shaving when travelling

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

vintage butterscotch rebranded Simpsons best
Kirby/Gillette Super Stainless (NOS 1967)
vintage Lentheric SS (great stuff)
Lucky Tiger AS and Face Tonic
Miller Harris 'feuilles de tabac' EdT

Every so often this French Floozy calls to me and today she got wet. Yep, it was good for both of us.......well, me for sure anyway.

This razor head is unlike any other I've ever tried. Jeeeeez, it does cut close for a non open comb fixed head type, but with a lot more comfort. Definitely this Kirby needs paying attention to during the shave but man, it pays off. Talk about a squeaky clean all over finish......whew. Very fun having this thing in the arsenal.

BBS results,

Martin

Soap - Nanny's Silly Soap - Sample
Razor - Gillette Redtip
Brush - Custom 400
Scent - Pal Zileri - Lab i-white

A very pleasant shave today which made a very nice change to Super Smooth, I don't know what the scent is of the Nanny's soap but it's very nice. Bowl lathered for two passes and feeling very smooth and smelling great. The Lab i-white is also a first try and it works well with Nanny's soap scent, nice and bright. Feeling completly refreshed now.

Have a great weekend Chaps!

EDIT: The soap scent is Bamboo and Grape. Thanks Mike. :)

Excellent 3-pass afternoon shave. Wonderful lingering lavender scent from Oxford & Cambridge soap, so no EDT needed.

Have a great evening everyone!

RazoR'OC'k-tober (18 Oct)
Pre: RazoRock/HTGAM mentholated lime soap
Soap: HTGAM BarberPole
Brush: California Redwood Burl handle, 24mm TGN Finest 2-band
Razor 1: Gold Dollar #66
Razor 2: Ikon Deluxe OC
Blade: NOS Gillette "Spoiler" SS (1)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Pinaud Clubman

Wow, simply Wow! Best shave I've had all week (maybe all month!). HTGAM soap started lathering itself after about 10 swirls on the puck. Went to face-lather and it was obvious there wasn't enough water in the brush. Added some water and went back to lathering and it exploded on my face. I looked like the guy on the Cella box. :icon_razz: I squeezed the lather out of the brush into my lather bowl, rewetted the brush with a few drops and went back to face lathering and got another load full. Enough lather in the brush/bowl for about 20 passes! First time with this "Spoiler" blade and it is VERY sharp and VERY smooth. Certainly lives up to its namesake. Brilliant 3-pass BBS (WTG with GD66, XTG/ATG with Ikon).
