Nuage Men shaving oil
WARS
Vulfix Bodger
#11H service set New, Derby
Bulldog Sensitive Moisturiser

A shave at the gym, 99% BBS. A couple of small nicks I put down to the Derby and the standing position being a bit further from the mirror than I'm used to at home meaning I had to shave leaning into the mirror a bit so I could see what I was doing properly. Should perhaps have stuck my specs on to shave, but then I'd look REALLY shortsighted!

Sunday 3rd March

Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
St James of London Mandarin & Patchouli Preshave Oil
Sanguine Shavette
Muhle HJM Black Fibre Brush
Real Shaving Company Cream
Tea Tree and Peppermint Toner
Organic Shea Butter
Pashana Blue Orchid
Morgans Classic Cream
Brian's Own Moustache Wax

Going to work this evening....so a quick Shave this afternoon. 3 Pass BBS

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, white
Simpson Colonel X2L, Cella
Fatboy (#5), Rapira SS (2)
Cold splash, alum block
Clinique post-shave soother

Smooth and comfortable. Getting used to the Fatboy again... prefer it to the Slim at the moment.. but we'll see how that one goes

Hot shower, cold splash, dove men+ care face scrub
Omega 10065, nannys lemony lime with goats milk (thanks Griffo)
Gillette Super Adjustable set on 4
Rapira Super Stainless, 2nd shave
Alum, witch hazel, Superdrug Sierran Breeze Aftershave Lotion

Well, it was my first time with the Nannys today, I have a bunch of other Nannys samples from Sm304 (thanks Scott) to work through too but started with this one.

It smells fantastic. I had about 3 hours sleep, and wasn't really in a fit state to be shaving, and my lather building isn't spot on by any means, but I struggled to get a decent lather with this. What I did get dried out before the shave was complete. It's probably me, I really wasn't alert this morning due to a health scare of a family member through the night, so I will be giving this another go when I'm in a fit state to do so :D.

I so hope I can make a good lather, as it smells amazing!

But, DFS none the less, after a lot of touch ups on top of 2 passes, one XTG one ATG. No irritation surprisingly, one weeper. Not too certain on the longevity of the Rapira, but I'll go for a third and bin it. Very good blade at a low price.

Prep: Cold Water Splash
Razor: FaTip with Weber Bulldog
Blade: Supermax Blue Diamond #1
Brush: Neep 26x48 Stone Extra Silvertip
Soap: Lea Stick
Post: Proraso Menthol Post Cream
AS: Speick Splash

Very nice 2 pass cold water face lather shave.

1st time using that blade, nice and smooth for the first shave.

ATT Titan M1 / Feather
Semogue 830
Nanny's Gentleman's shaving soap - French Lavender
Witch Hazel

The Semogue seems non the worse for losing all its hair the other day when the knot fell out. I wish I could reattach my hair as easily.

Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat #21
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge (Yellow)
Brush: Edwin Jagger Silvertip
Soap: Truefitt & Hill Grafton
Post: Alum + Superdrug Forest Fresh

BBS (natch) but I can't help feeling I'm
cheating on Gillette Blacks ;)

Evening, everyone.

Sunday:

Prep: Claus Porto Lime-oil face soap
Razor: Yuma
Blade: Shark SS (2)
Brush: Bestshave No. 6
Shave cream: Erasmic
A/S: Pashana Bay rum
Cologne: Baby Blue Jeans

Merkur 37c slant
Astra SP (4)
SOC 2-band
Proraso white soap
Proraso blue balm
Floris Cefiro

My first shave with the pass around slant. Did it shave close? Exceptionally. Did I enjoy it? Not really. Hmm.

Saturday 2nd March 2013
Prep: Shower
Razor: Ever Ready 1912
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Omega 39 Boar
Cream: Lea
Aftershave: Simple Balm

A very good shave, the Lea cream is no better than a fair performer, quite unlike the Lea sticks which I rate as excellent.

Regards
Dick.

I haven't seen that 1912 before with the fancy scrolled head lid. Very nice.

+1

Last night I had a very quick shave because my stubble was annoying me and I was too ill to fart about. Feather AC RG, pro blade, Noxzema cocoa butter. Notable only for taking well under five minutes and being at least the sixtieth shave from this disposable blade over a seven-month period. Not the scalpel it was new, but still shaves decently.

SUNDAY EVENING

Gillette Slim Twist
Super Iridium (4)
Neep Coral Sandstone brush
Arko stick - face lathered
Witch hazel
Castle Forbes AS balm

Probably the razor with the biggest bang for the buck out of all those I own. Effortless BBS.

Away from home for a few days. Brought along some kit to try out as a travel set including my Merkur 33c classic which I purchased as my first DE razor 5 months ago. Its had little use overall as I moved to the 34c, 37c and occasional GEM 1912 for most of my shaves over the last few weeks.

Proraso pre
Duke 2 Best
TOBS Shaving Shop SC
Merkur 33c classic
Gillette Yellow (2)
Thayer's Medicated Superhazel
Cade ASB

What a mild shaver the 33c is. I felt like I was back at shaving school. For some reason I was expecting the 33c to be similar to the 34c and was looking to make it my travel razor. Will need to rethink this. Probably will pass this one on to my teenage son.

3-4 passes and a good final result. I do need more cutting power though.
