Exciting, I think is the phrase ...

Such huge blade gap that the protective front bar doesn't really come into play at all, but the curve of the head is just correct to set this blade edge exactly where it should be; so long as that angle is maintained, a clean and safe shave can be had.

While it's no more aggressive than, say the 1924, while shaving you are very aware of the blade edge.

Enjoyed, but exhilarating. It's been some time since a shave got my heart racing.

Hah, this razor must be a ball buster, judging by those key phrases I have come to know and enjoy, Yeah, long as the angle/technique is right on the money, there might not be hardly any bloodshed at all. Otherwise it's gonna be a rough ride.

Yeah, exciting, exhilarating and a heart pounder of a shave. Alarm bells are blaring, knowing how twisted you are.....heh.

I do like how that looks though. Nice piece. Oh, guess what I got today. Yeah, the Christy, and it's loaded with a new old Schick blade for tomorrow, Sheeesh.

Shave & Scent of the day with:
> Soap: Petal Pusher Fancies Honeysuckle
> Brush: L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic
> Razor: ATT Atlas R1
> Blade: Voskhod (2nd)
> Post: Proraso Pre Shave Cream & Mario Badescu After Shave Moisturizer
> Scent: Guerlain Vetiver EdT

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave - Sandalwood
Soap: Wickham SS - Sheridan
Bowl: Woodhead Tall Large Scuttle
Brush: Mervyn 24mm silvertip
Razor: Schick Injector Dial Adjustable
Blade: Schick Injector (1)
After: Witchhazel, Benjamin's Bay Rum (menthol) AS, Dapper Soothe Talker ASB

First time using an injector razor. Started out adjusting the razor to mark 3 but that was going nowhere so cranked it up to 5 and I could feel it working. The shave was ok but felt a little, well, blunt. It may be my technique or it maybe the fact that this NOS blade is 50 years old. I'll give it another go tomorrow to see.
Ordered some new blades from Connaught this morning so I'll be able to compare with metal half a century younger.
Result was DFS but not BBS - I'll crank it up higher tomorrow.

Wickham's soap is a funny one - at first explodes with far too airy lather then after a minute creates thicker useable lather, but the two phases of lather remain; lather duality! Proper performance though, as ever with these soaps.

Enjoy this sunny day - you only have a finite number of them.

Prep- Cold water splash
Soap- Razorock Zi'Peppino
Brush- Muhle V2
Razors- Wade & Butcher Wedge, Mongoose
Post- Thayers witch hazel, Alt Innsbruck AS

Refreshed the W&B with 0.5 micron diamond on felt then scrub leather, finishing on premium leather stropping; that did the trick and now the blade is shaving properly :icon_razz: Still just shaving WTG on cheeks and neck and finishing up with Mongoose.
