S.O.T.D. w/c Saturday 5th - Friday 11th July 2014, incl.

Prep: Hot water wash
Razor: EJ89
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
Brush: Vie-long Horse hair
Soap: prof Blighty's Sandalwood
Post: Alum, M&S woodspice

Very strange shave today, I had a lot of tugging and had to use a little more pressure than usual, even so it seamed like only thing coming of was the lather. After checking my EJ was assembled properly I kept trying but after 4 passes i gave up. It still felt a little rough. After cold water rinse and alum which told me I had scraped near my lip, I rinsed off the alum and applied me woodspice AS. Apart from near my lip there was no stinging. After I had cleaned and dried everything I checked my face again and it was surprisingly smooth.
Very strange indeed, all I can think of is maybe its time to change the blade, this is my 3rd shave with the 7 O'Clock yellow.

Sunday

Afternoon, all.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Super Max Blue Diamond (2)
Brush: Ecotools Kabuki
Shave soap: Darron's Super Smooth Southsea Spray
Aftershave: Old Spice Whitewater
Cologne: Halston's Unbound

Terrific.

4 days growth to clear today so went with:
Arko Cool Cream
Semogue 830
Progress [3, 1.5]
Feather [2]
Arko Ice Mint ASB
Cracking shave, little bit of tugging from the Feather, but job done and nice and clean for Monday morning!

Duley head on metal handle
Gillette Silver Blue
Razorock Moroccan
Shea butter

Really enjoying this particular head. Feels very mild and yet gets me a very close shave with no irritation, whichever side I use. It's plastic and comes on a telescopic handle (too short and light for every day use) and says Duley plastics Canada

Razor: Parker 13/16
Brush: Mr.M Tall MHW 24mm
Cream: Penhaligon's Endymion
ASB: D&G One
EDP: Penhaligon's Endymion

Honed this NOS razor the other day in Mikael's Garden. Thanks for a great session of honing with cigarr and expresso Mikael, Shave today was super nice.

Prof Blighty's coconut soap

Omega 49 brush

DE89 (Polsilver SI)

Cold rinse and alum block

Prof's Orange & Lemon after shave

Lovely smooth comfortable shave. Lost count of how many shaves the Polsilver has done, must be at least 4 now, possibly 5, but it's still shaving like its brand new - impressive!
