Hiya,

Yesterday's mail brought me 150 NOS Spoiler blades dated 1981 (10 packs of 15 blades). Cost me a whopping $15 with shipping included and used one this morning with very good results.

I didn't buy a single item for over a year but last night I couldn't resist.

I saw on eBay a NOS 1980 Gillette Contour with the metal handle.

Now these hardly ever float on this side of the Pond.

I made the seller a reasonable offer and they agreed.

What came next was a bit of a surprise. He told me he have found in his loft three boxes of those US made for the British market brand new. 32 in total and all will go on the bay soon.

bought 5 bars of LaToja Magno soap - it's pretty amazing very manly scent - something for @Fox to emulate perhaps!

also, a cheap cologne called Splash which I picked up in Spain for 1.8 euros. Almost identical to Quorum, and has a long lasting scent.

It looked like a Fat handle Tech in a brown bakelite box in the ad to me, buy it now price was good so: click. Surprise, surprise, on arrival it had shrunk, been on a diet or what, it is branded Gilette and Made in England, but handle is a svelte version of the fat, anyway shave was fine.

After getting consistently good shaves with Astra SP's in different razors I bought 100 from eBay for under £8
If I only use these blades they'll last for around a year !

Both sides of the blades have printed writing on.
I guess these are the old design?
They're the same as the ones I've been using

RazoRock Don Marco soap and balm. My-oh-my I've had a pleasant surprise with these. They're bergamot-neroli scented, not dissimilar to grapefruit in 'flavour' and very tarte to start, sweet to finish and delicious. Apparently the soap is a rebranded Tcheon Fung Sing Bergamotto Neroli. Tried a little of the ASB on my hands and it absorbs very quickly and non-greasy. Very happy boy!

Just got this beautifull NOS Canadian Schick J2 (if I am right).

It is all here - box, razor, blades, dummy blade and instructions!

So happy!

One question, are this blade any good? Can I use it? You never know with this vintage blades...
